opens groundfish cutting facility in 2001. Located in an area steeped with tradition, accessible to local fishing boats and right in the middle of Boston Harbor, Stavis Seafoods' Fish Pier facility continues the maritime prominence of Boston with regards to cod, haddock, pollock, hake etc., otherwise known as the groundfish species.

Sourcing fish direct from local boats, local auctions and as far north as the Canadian Maritimes, Stavis' buyers are able to maintain excellent quality control and flexibility in what product type and form is offered to our customers. Limited not just to groundfish; flatfish and other species are also processed in this facility on the historic Boston waterfront.

All whole fish is hand cut by a team of experienced fish cutters. Our house cut is a ¼ nape product. Fish is skinned mostly by machine and then candled, trimmed and packed into 10 lb styrofoam boxes labeled with Stavis' premium brand. Other packaging options are available.
